Guy in Swirls
Which one draws you in the most?
Man in Swirls is inspired by psychedelic art.
The first image is the original. I scanned the piece and used Photoshop to play around with the hues.
I love how each image is the same, but the colours can make you feel a different way about the piece.
My Mum looking at my art
"LEAH THIS IS DUSGUSTINGGG"
"Oh Leah not again...pleeease"
"Do you really have to swear? Right infront of your nan?"
Quotes from my mum examining my art.
I really love this piece as it's completely wrong. The perspective changes constantly, there's writing on the drawing, and is clearly drawn more for fun, than precision.
A Day at the Beach
A typical family day out, with sandwiches, sandy 99's, sun, fun, and buns.
I've been saving all my summers for you...
Lyrics from the song 'FROOT' by Marina and the Diamonds.
Marina Diamandis
This was the first image i ever created using letrasets in 2016.
I took inspiration for the above piece, from this one on the right.
I think it turned out very lovely.
Many may not enjoy my rough pen marks, and often 'unfinished' pieces, but i love to give it that rough look. It's the style i enjoy creating.
Solitare
This is one of my favourite pieces. It's not really that pretty to look at, but it has a lot of stories.
I often listen to soft songs when i draw as it helps me be dramatic and feel emotional. This piece is all about solitude. Each cut out piece is a still from a scene i made up.
When daydreaming to the song "Solitare" from Marina, i thought about dripping mirrors, falling in space, playing out moments in peoples lives where they feel lost.
I later used this technique on my Seed of Acceptance, poster.
I really hope the audience looks at each cut out, and not just glance as i feel we can all relate to at least one.
